Herbert Berghof Studio First Floor Studio Residency Spring 2015

 

The project, "What you counted and carefully saved"  is an original/devised piece of Movement Theater.

Received: The First Floor Studio Residency 2015

 

Goals: -To further develop particular physical language.

           -To develop the script for this work which I believe to be universally relevant and important to complete and present as it has already proven to be quite  impactful both on the artistic team and the audience.

 

The work started with a Contact Improvisation Workshop in Fall 2013 and moved on to a more formal creative phase from January 2014 until  the end of July 2014 with an average of 4 rehearsal hours a week. It was shown as a  "Work In Progress" at BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange at the end of July and received positive and encouraging feedback. With a clearer idea of direction for development and editing, the company, primed to enter phase two, applied for and received The 2015 Herbert Berghof First Floor Studio Residency.
